Lyrics

(spoken)
A loose moon sways in the heavens
Torn shreds of clouding tacking nearby
Somewhere behind the scenes moving time so slowly reels onto the roll
One frantically turning the crank, turning, pumping, loosing the rhythm, hands slipping off
A fervent look around, a filtered curse, the hissing sound savored
Resuming the rhythm, turning, pumping, adjusting the stance,
The mind staggers but the body turns away the stuttering thoughts this time
Floating within the rhythm
As gradually the loose moon shudders slowly sinking behind sets of rocky wash
The bright reflective liquid mirror flashes once, sparkles, and is gone.

(sung)
I try to hide it, I try to take a hold of nothingness.
I try to see it, but my eyes are not accustomed to the light.
I try to feel it every evening when I'm turning off the light,
But no tomorrow ain't no surprise to me.

If time were shorter maybe I could see everything.
But all I wonder is if the picture's of the final scene.
If I had vision I could see how this has kept me from my life.
'Cause no tomorrow ain't no surprise to me.

If I could dream things, I could dream beyond the darkness of the night.
If I had my wings I could fly away and burn up in the light.
If I had reason I could know if it was right or it was wrong,
If no tomorrow was no surprise to me...

(spoken)
Gradually the loose moon shudders, slowly sinking, behind sets of rocky wash
The bright reflective liquid mirror flashes once, sparkles, and is gone.
